A 42-year old man was sentenced to imprisonment after pleading guilty to physically abusing his 3 children – an 11-year old daughter and two sons who were 7-years old and 6-years old – by pressing a heated metal fork on their hands or forearms.
The man had carried out the abuse to punish his children for disobeying him and playing with fire by using a lighter to burn cardboard in the kitchen toilet of their home.
The Court granted an order prohibiting the publication of any information that may lead to the identification of the victims.
