A 35-year repeat offender, Eswaran Selvarajoo, who had only been released from prison a year ago, was sentenced to 12 days and four days’ imprisonment for multiple offences for outrage of modesty, theft and breaching his Prisons remission order.

- He pleaded guilty to 3 charges. He had previous convictions for offences including drug offences and theft.
- He was sentenced to 4 weeks’ imprisonment for outrage of modesty choffencearge, 8 weeks’ imprisonment for the theft offence and 4 days’ imprisonment for breaching his remission order. The sentences were ordered to run consecutively.
- One day after he had just been released from Prison (in relation to an 8 week imprisonment term for using criminal force to deter a public servant from discharging his duty, and for threatening a public officer), he molested a woman near West Mall shopping centre in Bukit Batok Central Link.
- A few days later, the stole 2 cans of beer valued at $7.60 from a FairPrice supermarket at Block 280 in Bukit Batok East Avenue 3.
